Lifespan of Bulbs
My bulbs keep blowing. How long are they supposed to last?
We sell thousands of light bulbs and complaints regarding this product are very few and far between. We always follow extensive quality control procedures throughout our manufacturing process, and in checking a product before and after arrival in this country.
Unfortunately no light bulb or tube carries with it a guarantee with respect of the life time it is meant to operate since there are many factors that can affect the life of the bulb or fluorescent tube. Whilst we aim to give an indication as to what people may expect. The indication is not a guarantee.
Things that have an influence on the life time of a bulb or fluorescent tube are the number of times it is switched on and off and what size ballast is used to start the tube, also if the bulb is moved just after switching off of splashed with water.Power surges may also cause premature failure of incandescent filament light bulbs.
If a bulb where to fail due to a manufacture fault then it will do as soon as it is switched on
I think, in this case it the failure of all these bulbs from the same store indicates that the box of bulbs may have been dropped or damaged in some way in transport.
