pH High Test Reading
To obtain accurate test results in the high pH range, we suggest you always read the test results under a cool white fluorescent light bulb or its equivalent. For optimum results, when monitoring an aquarium with an expected pH more than 8.3, the color must be read with a fluorescent light bulb, preferably a cool white type. When dealing with very high KH, it is still possible that, even in full sun, a purple tint may appear. Failure to use a cool white fluorescent tube when reading high pH results, the light's color might give a purple taint to the cuvette in any case.
