I want to by a Fluval external filter for my 255 Liter (67 U.S. Gal.) tropical tank. which one is suitable?, the 305 or the 405?

I want to by a Fluval external filter for my 255 Liter (67 U.S. Gal.) tropical tank. which one is suitable?, the 305 or the 405?
In this case the choice of filter truly depends on what you are planning to keep. The 305 is listed to filter up to a 70 U.S. Gal. (300 L) tank, and if you are not planning to heavily populate the tank, chances are that will be adequate, the 405 is for tanks up to 100 U.S. Gal. (400 L) and will provide some extra currents and stronger filtration, and would be wise if you are planning to heavily populate the tank or keep lots of fish that prefer stronger currents. In the case of the smaller filter, if you overpopulate the tank, you may have to add additional filtration such as the AquaClear filter for stronger mechanical filtration, this is quite possible if you decide on the smaller unit so the choice really is in your hands and should be determined by the plans you have for the tank
