What replacement media do I need to order for the filter and how often do I replace each?

What replacement media do I need to order for the filter and how often do I replace each?

The filter comes with foam, carbon and Bio Max.

The carbon should be replaced monthly.

The Bio Max should be replaced every three months, but only half at a time.

The foam can be rinsed and reused, and should be replaced when it will no longer rinse clean, or begins to deteriorate. Information on the media, and when it should be replaced, is located in the Fluval Filter Media section of your manual. The manual can be downloaded below
