How do I set and regulate the Elite Radiant heater thermostat
The Elite Radiant Heater uses a safety cap to protect the unit from accidental changes to the setting.

To initially set the heater, you can remove the plastic safety cap and set the heater so that it will maintain the proper base temperature. To do this, obtain a reliable thermometer and determine the water temperature. If it is below the required level, turn the knob of the heater until the pilot light is illuminated - this should be less than a 1/2 turn, but may be more in some cases.

Allow the heater to operate until the desired temperature is reached, or the pilot light goes off. If the pilot light goes off, turn the knob a quarter turn until again the light is illuminated and the heater is heating. Follow this procedure until the desired temperature is reached.

Once the desired level is reached, turn the knob the other way until the pilot light just turns off. Then turn it until it just turns on. Replace the safety cap. Once this is done, the heater has been set. Continue to check the temperature regularly to ensure the heater is maintaining the proper setting and stable temperature over time.
