Elite mini A-130. We purchased a tank with this filter in March of 2006, it has since stopped working. Is there anything I can do to get it started again?
ELITE MINI MAINTENANCE AND REPLACEMENT 1. Slowly remove the filter from the aquarium. 2. Remove the bottom half of filter. 3. Remove the sponge pad. 4. Rinse* or replace. 5. Remove impeller cover. 6. Grasp the blades of the impeller fan and pull out the impeller. 7. Rinse off any slimy buildup that has accumulated on the magnetic impeller and in the impeller well and reassemble. 8. Once all parts are cleaned or replaced, reassemble the filter and install in the aquarium. * Do not rinse the sponge pad directly in the aquarium. Transfer a small quantity of water from the aquarium into a bucket using a siphon. After rinsing, put the sponge back in the filter intake and reassemble. If you have done this maintenance and the filter still does not work: You will need to send your unit, along with your dated receipt as proof of purchase.
